The U.S. Women’s National Fistball Team is ready to make waves on the international stage as they prepare for the 2025 World Games in Chengdu, China. This talented and determined squad brings a strong mix of veteran leadership and emerging talent as they aim to build on their success from recent international competitions.
Leading the team is captain Amanda Stanton (Hackettstown, NJ), a dynamic setter and one of three returning players from the 2022 World Games team. Alongside her are Amber Rauh (Scotch Plains, NJ) and Allison Vaughn (Doylestown, PA), both veterans of the 2022 Games and key contributors to the 2024 World Championship squad. Their international experience will be crucial as the U.S. faces off against the world’s top teams in Chengdu.
The attacking front is headlined by Vaughn, along with Danielle Pereira (Fords, NJ), Kristen Rutherford, and Rebecca Cline—both from Birmingham, AL—forming a powerful and versatile striker lineup. Rutherford and Cline, both making their World Games debut, have quickly emerged as exciting offensive threats.
On defense, Vanessa Marques (Long Island, NY) returns following a strong showing at the 2024 World Championship, bringing speed and consistency to the backline. Joining her is Shanna Fernando (Staten Island, NY), a tenacious defender known for her hustle and game awareness.
The team is guided by Head Coach Emma Dollase, who also led the squad at the 2024 World Championships, and Assistant Coach Luisa Engeldinger, a former international player whose experience adds depth to the coaching staff. Wendy Stanton returns as Team Manager, while Dr. Blake Graham serves as the team’s medical lead, ensuring the athletes stay healthy and game-ready throughout the tournament.
At the 2025 World Games, the United States has been drawn into the Silver Group alongside Argentina, Chile, and New Zealand. Team USA will kick off their campaign against Argentina on August 9th, followed by a second match later that day against Chile. They’ll wrap up group play on August 10th with a highly anticipated rematch against New Zealand, their rivals from the 2022 World Games. With a spot in the knockout stages on the line, the U.S. squad is prepared for a hard-fought battle in every match.
