The United States Fistball Association (USFA) has expanded its u18 Fistball program to include a u-18 Boy’s National Fistball team in addition to our u18 Girls National Fistball team to represent the United States in the International Fistball Association’s, u18 European Championships this summer in in Kleindöttingen, Switzerland during July 15th and 16th. The u18 European Championships marks the second time the USA has entered international Fistball competitions with u18 teams. Youth championship competitions in past years have included u-18 teams from Argentina, Austria, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Germany, India, Namibia, Spain, and Switzerland. Following the championships, both USA u18 national teams have been invited to train at a Swiss Olympic Training Center for an additional 4 days.
Both the Boys and Girls National teams have been training hard for the past several months and are looking forward to representing the USFA as Ambassadors of USA Fistball on the world’s stage with the determination to win the coveted u18 European Championships title! Representing the USA and competing on the world’s stage is a dream come true for our teams that are comprised of players from New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and California.
The u18 national teams are self-funding their trip and as you can imagine, a trip like this can be costly. Therefore, we are appealing to all who can, and are willing to assist with helping them by providing additional funds to help offset expenses such as uniforms and travel expenses. Your support for any amount is gratefully accepted.
Fistball is a popular sport in Europe and in South America and is similar to Volleyball with the addition of a bounce between players and whereas the ball can only be fielded using one arm and/or fist or the other – never together.
